I built myself a rear driveline.  I don't drive it on the steert with that driveline because it isn't balanced at all.

I usually use the stock rear and a cv from a front, 85 or older is best but I have clearanced the newer ones to work well. figure how long you need it cut the stock rear to length leaving the stock slip yoke at the diff. then I separate the CV from the rest of the stock front by grinding the weld away on a chop saw. can tell you are almost through the weld when the metal turns blue once all the way around I use a little creative BFH and get the thing apart. next I clean up the part eh tub clips into and reassemble making sure the yokes are in phase. then I chuck it in my lathe or install it on the truck and spin it with a dial indicator on it. you can tell which way it needs to go and tap in that way with a hammer. I try to get it within .010. then I tack it and check again. once I am happy I weld away. there are lots of them running around here and no complaints yet.

I used 1/4 inch Schedule 80 Pipe for my rear driveline.  It is beefy and heavy.  I wouldn't recommend using it for street purposes.  But it works great for the trail.  Not balanced at all, starts vibrating badly at 35mph but that is what my other driveline id for.  I just switch them out when i get to the trail.

what  size  sch. 80 did you use and how much did you have for travel got any pics THANKS HYENA
