ok guys,
(1986 turbo 4runner auto-all stock)
I had a really dirty engine bay, so I hosed the engine off 2 days ago. Today I went to start it and it won't crank. I tried jarring the starter, dissasembled and thoroughly cleaned both terminals.it has had plenty of time, to completely dry out?, any other suggestions?
I wonder if the neutral safety switch  went out all of a sudden?

Time to bust out the Multi-Meter and measure all of your electrical connections. Be watching for drops in voltage and wiring that might have been knocked loose.

distributer might be wet...mine was when i washed my enginebay. i dried it out and vroom, started right up.

it won't even crank, it just clicks once. if it was my Dist. It would at least turn over.
