its not worth much, I think you need to "give" it me  J/K
honestly, depending on what part of the country your in, in the midwest, I seen an 85 with 2 full sets of tires and wheels running in good shape, a "stock" 4runner the asking price was $2200 but here in the Denver area, Ive seen them ask $5000 just depends on a number of things  :dunno:

The AC blows cold i converted to 134 A and it also has a new master cylinder from marlin along with his vented rotors and rebuilt calipers?

MiniSimp

2K, maybe 2.5 depending on your cylinder compression numbers.

ihanberg

Really ? why is everyone saying its worth so much ive had people say upwards of 6,000 no Joke! Now you say 2 to 2.5 ? i dont know what to believe?

MiniSimp

Maybe it is because of location?
1985 pickups are supposed to be one of the most wanted Toyota's also, but I bought mine for $900

Ramrod

my offer still stands at what I gave you if you want to wait

IronClad

3k max..   basicly by installing the lift you devalued the truck.  and with a tranny thats "showing its age"  meaning that who knows it could go out tomarrow  really hurts the deal.

Word hard, Keep your head in the game and if anyone gets in your way tell them you don't give a damn !

ihanberg

Why would installing a lift devalue my truck??

Ramrod

because it lessens the driveablitity of the truck and also because most people don't like pro-comp.  Also many people like these things bone stock.

basicly i wouldnt buy it due to the fact its modified.

Not saying that you dont know what you are doing  BUT i do not feel comfortable  not knowing what kind of workmanship  went into the rig.  The majority of people do not know what to look for on a modified vehicle. for all i know  things could have been ghettoed in place.   and as pat says  it lessens the driveability.

Ill give you $3200. With that said, put it on Craigslist at $5000 you will get at least $4000 good chance more, and Probably by the end of the day. I have been watching this happen for weeks now while shopping for a 4runner. They sell for alot here.

How many miles?

rocksalt

ihanberg, I know people who have bought 85's in worse looking condition than yours for between 3k and 3.5k. maybe your worth slightly more if it's a solid running rig. Possibly 3.8k or so. If your looking for 6k, most buyers would expect alot more Mod's.  A straight axle 4runner with gears and lockers running atleast 35's could get up into the 6k range. As long as it wasn't all put together with Bailing Wire and bubble gum.  Also your Tranny is going to be an issue on the value if it's on the way out.

ihanberg

Im just guaging interest and trying to find out what the value is! I wont be able to sell for a month or two.. I have to find another vehicle first  ( I dont know what i want )?????  I am serious about selling it though....  Its going to be hard to part from it its been very reliable !! And ive had alot of good memories with it  Ive actually driven it to Idaho 6 times with zero problems..

DTB

The voice of reason is here to tell you not to sell it. you know you don't want to. I drive mine every day and it is semi-modified. Why is it not a great DD? It gets good gas mileage, reliable, and can carry all yer crap. why are you selling it again? sorry, i just hate to see a nice toyota go bye-bye
