Hey y'all,
I need some advice. What length should I do my rear drive shaft? I have the choice of...25 inches, if I leave the CSB in place or 43 inches if I go one piece. I have moved my rear axle forward about 6 3/8 inches that's why the shaft is so short. Those measurements are just sitting on the ground. I haven't flexed it at all, so I don't know the extremes. I have an 8 inch travel spline that I can rework to use with either length.

Ditch the center support bearing and run the standard spline.  I've never seen one pull out on the rear.  Save that fancy 8" slip spline for the front driveshaft.

Thanks for responding. I was kind of thinking 1 piece. Since I moved the axle forward it's so short now anyway and the angle is good. I will probably use a square one up front and it looks like it will have a good angle too.
It's just good to be able to finally work on the truck!
