Really wnna get one of these...would make my life MUCH easier, but I am not gonna be using the h-ll out of it.  $300 for the Milwaukee/Makita/Dewalt models seems a bit...extravagant.  I know HF has one for bout $80, but this is, of course, the LOW end model.  Anybody got any other makes models they know of, have experience with?
Anybody ever heard of this one?
I think I need BigMike to make me a tool section!

WOW   :ha_ha:  thats pretty close... i'd go for the 80 one... or buy both and cut somthing then take back the one that doesn't work so well. i do that with sanders all the time.
I'd like to quit thinking of the present as some minor insignificant preamble to something else~~~~~

Yeah, I think it is a case of a distributer slaping their own colors and badging on the same chinese tool.  I may just grab an HF one and see how it goes.  If it breaks I can always take it back.   :yesnod:

BLACKDOG

I've got a buddy who uses harbor freight tools a lot  he figured out a relation between harbor freight, and the mainstream stuff (Dewalt, Makita, etc.)

It was something along the lines of the Harbor freight tools last 1/2-2/3 as long as the other tools, but are 1/3 of the price.  he figures he'd rather replace the tools he uses and burns out (grinders, sawzall) several times for a cheap price then only replace it once for the equal cost.

If you're not going to use it very often, I'd just stick with HF

BD, I think you have hit on the key factor here.

S-10 Stewy

I have a neighbor who was at the right place at the right time and bought a used Milwaukee for $100.00 at a local Pawn shop and loves it!  I am not sure what they go for new but I am guessing he got it for nearly .40 cents on the dollar.  Not a bad buy I would say.

He only uses it on medium to small projects around the house, I bet it will last him many years to come!
It's built Chevy tough with Toyota stuff!
