I am scrapping an 86 4runner I am saving the rear dif to put in a 82 p/u that I am building and I was curious what of the front assy I needed to keep so it would be the same width as the rear? plus is it worth the work to do this?

thanks
Jim

if its a v6 you want the brake calipers if not, the only other thing of value to you would be the i.f.s steering box. to widen your front you need wheel spacers or hub spacers. i dont know what people are gonna say about worth it or not,but the ifs rear is 3" wider so makes your stance a little more stable
88-4runner 35 boggers,5.29s,locked in rear. finally got a sas!!!! pics at photobucket(crapyota)

keep the ifs hub bodies and you will be just as wide as the rear

you want whats bolted to the rotor. its where the manual locking hubs are bolted too also.
