motor options

guys i have my stock 22r from my 84 and im having major problems with it and i want to know what i can do/have done to cure my problem.... i have a very bad rod knock and has been for 5 months or so and im finally to the point where im goin to get rid of it... what motor do i put in ... being as cost effective as possible and hopefully eliminating carbueration thanks for all the input

replace with another 22r and run propane. or 22re swap. 3rz swap would be tits up just more work and money
