Question: intake runners

I have taken off all the bolts between the manifold runners and the head, but I can not get the damn thing to break loose.  Is there another hidden bolt that I am not getting too?  Anybody got any tricks for getting this thing free?

did you take the support bracket off?

If you are meaning the brace that runs to the motor mount then yes I did.  I have run my hand all over it reading bolts like braile and I can't find anymore, but the the will not come off.  I have rocked, pried, beat with a rubber mallet...it just don't want to move.

did you seperate the intake,I think there is a bolt in the middle that you can't get too unless you split it.I can't really remember it's been awhile since I took one apart.If not I'll go look at one and see if I can figure it out.

Yup, I have the plenum off, all that is left is the runners.

did you get the ones that are on the bottom.Where the runners come together.

there is a allen head bolt that runs thru the thermostat housing. dont forget to put it in before you put the plenum back on it is a p.i.t.a if you forget.

What is this about an allen head?  Do you need to take it out to separate the head and the intake?  I didn't get that one!  Maybe that is it!!???

oh yeah I forgot about the allen head.Yeah it's up near the t-stat housing.it's gotta come out too.

first time i took mine apart took me forever to figure that out i tryed to take the manifold off without separating it didnt work out. just make sure you dont forget to put it in before you put the plenum on i forgot last time i did a head gasket i had to cut a allen wrench and turn it with a wrench to get it tight because you cant get to it. good luck
