I just found an R151F tranny, bellhousing to t-case w/ 175k on it. It has been sitting for two years under a rolled '86 turbo truck w/minimal damage beyond a torn bedside and flattened roof. I bought it cheap, but for a reason:
The mainshaft and rear t-case output spin smoothly in all gears with minimal play, but the t-case shifter is stuck in 2 high. Stuck as in it doesn't even wiggle.
Does anyone know where I should start troubleshooting w/ this?
I have never seen a broken gear-driven t-case before (esp. 23 spline), so I'm at a loss.
