whatever motor goes in it will have a auto behind it .. probably with a manual valve body the other cool thing about the 390 is that it has a np435 already on it so i have a bullet proof tranny with a 6.69-1 first gear..
and you know that the 5.0 has a lot of more afthermarket support than the tbi and vortec
Throttle-body it is an easier install, there is less to go wrong, only 2 injectors, they are bigger so it is harder to clog em.

what ever you put in there make a it ford , we all know chevy wont last long if your abusing it. i would put a 5.0 out of mustang with the multiport fuel injection instead of TBI [all that is a glorified carb] plus the 5.0 would fit better and has the distributor in front so you wont have firewall/distributor clearance issues. and you know that the 5.0 has a lot of more afthermarket support than the tbi and vortecplus you could bolt on the np435 . the reason i woulnt put a 351w is that it never came with car type fuel injection only the truck type and its to tall to clearence the hood

No im not going to try and find a toyota v8 and swap it in. i dont believe in the whole "keep it toyota" thang. I had an LC EFI preformer motor in my truck but i still blew it up due to my driving style ( high rev to get wheel speed/power) with a v8 i wont have to rod it as much to get the power i need. yota motors just dont make the power i need. im leaning twoards the 390 because i have it already.. but it also means i need to go buy a holly setup to have FI.. i run on extreme angles to much to have a carb the other cool thing about the 390 is that it has a np435 already on it so i have a bullet proof tranny with a 6.69-1 first gear.. the toyota tranny wont stand up to my driving either.. i murderd my reverse gear yesterday. any other v8 i should look at i didnt list ?
