Buggy leaves

 Those of you running bugyy leaves, how well do you like them? I am thinking of going that rout on my pile since I am redoing the rear suspension anyway. I know this has been asked a bazillion times but I am just curious. I plan to run some metal down the sides of the frame to pin them shut going down hills and such, but performance wise, is it worth the extra work? This rig will probably never see the street again also.

if its going to be trail only, there is no need to make them not articulate, jsut toss them on there....

dont bother...  and why would you want to get out to pin yer buggy leafs  just to go down an obstical ?  screw that..    just run a properly setup double shackle and a traction bar and call it good.. if they are setup right   they will not unload

well I was thinking of a way to pin them going down hills so they won't unload I have read that they can be bad about doing that.

If they are not stup right they can also break the spring.  I would just go with the double shackle.  less slapping of the springs at they hit the frame.  It gets anoying.  I have never had my shackles unload on me.  But if you want to go the buggy spring route, there are a lot of people running them seccessfully.
