85- its a carb'd truck. as far as with and without the cat.... without it it sounds really good. i have a flowmaster original series on there with 2 1/4" exhaust. it sounds real rumbbly at low rpms heres a link to a short video link with sound.... should give you an idea of nice it sounds. (with the cat out, header, and 2 1/4 flowaster exhaust)

http://trdoffroad.com/gallery/displayimage.php?album=42&pos=6

the manifold show is the air injection from the exhaust manifold to the intake manifold (part of smog crap) recirculates some of the exhaust to the intake to reburn exhaust gases reducing smog pollutants. the federal manifold is the one needed to use on the headers because it sits flosh across the top of the header mounting studs and is the only way to get it to pass smog.

That link locks up on me.  Took forever to load, got bits and pieces of the landcruiser but that was it.

The header installed beautifully in less than 2 hours with no leaks.   The little smog adapter kit for Type "A"  had a leak so I decided to get rid of it all together, now it looks like squirrel monsters..  No Leaks...  Beautiful header.

I just got done putting in 2 1/4" all the way out. Luv it.

You pretty much want to match your exhaust tubing size to your header collector.  I'm a firm believer in running 2.5" all the way back.  Another thing to remember is you'll lose size on the bends if their not mandrel bends too, so upsizing a quarter inch from your collector might not be a bad idea either.  I'm thinking of buying a wad of mandrel bent elbows from summit, cutting and welding them to get my bends and axle arch, plus I kinda wanna run stainless all the way so I never hafta worry about it again.  I think my friend will let me use his tig welder to do it, which means I might actually hafta learn how to tig some day.

I've never seen one with a 2" collector, and I wouldn't personally buy one that small.  NWOR header has 2.25" though.
