Howdy all. I have heard a rumor that it is possible to mount up a Toyota Transmission and with that the Marlin Crawler. Can anyone tell me what exactly I need to do this? :dunno:

I got the Trooper for free.  I have access to a Toyota 5 speed and transfercase from a mid 80's truck. Not sure which model the tranny is, but I do know that the shifter for the transfercase is located on top of the transfercase, rather than on the back of the transmission. I have the t-case and a Toy front axle at a friends up in Washington. The front axle will get stuffed under the Trooper at some point. Any input would be appreciated.

It's an aluminum transmission with a black steel plate in the middle.

Where do I get a Isuzu engine to Toyota Transmission adapter? Is this a super secret Marlin product?

Advanced adapters does not made that product anymore. Strike one. I did find a site where a guy worked with Marlin on putting a Toyota Transmission behind a Isuzu 3.2, ( which I believe to be a GM engine)

Maybe I will have to go to the Tera low 3.0 low range gear set for the Isuzu Tranfercase.

beats me man,  i wonder if the bellhousing from a 3 somthin liter camaro v6  would be a candidate for a conversion

My Trooper has a 4 banger in it. I don't know if the GM belhousing would work. I might just have to make something up myself. An adapter plate from the bellhousing to transmission and some input shaft manipulation.

I wish I didn't live where we have smog laws. I would just stuff a 350, NP465, and NP205 that I have in my garage and chase down a Klune V, bolt up to it and call it good. Damn smog laws!
