I just bought an FJ80 front diff for my 1990 SAS, has anyone on here done this swap with leaf springs before, and made some custom drag link to make the steering work?
Thanks,
Scott

By 'diff', I'm assuming you are talking about the entire FJ-80 front axle.  There are some creative home-brew steering ideas that work well, albeit some work better than others.  Fireball on here has an 80 axle under his runner.  There's a few threads on Pirate describing the leaf-conversion.  OTT in Canada makes a crossover steering for the 80, but it's really expensive.

What exactly did you have in mind for your swap?  Give us an idea on tire size, desired capability/streetability, and other build ideas.

I checked out your pictures...  Those rims look sweet.  I have always liked the black steelies, but wasn't fond of the 'trapezoid' wagon-wheel cutouts.  Where'd you get those? How much?

The wheels came from Discount tire, they are unique wheels 297, my are 17x8.
OTT quit doing the FJ80 hysteer arms, I just got a call this morning from them telling me that.
I was going to use the complete front FJ80 axle on my DD, and weekend trail rig.
33-35" tires.
