L52 Input Shaft into G52 Tranny

I have read that the internals for the L52 are basically the same as the G52 except for the reverse gears.  So, by this, can I assume that I can take an input shaft from the L52 and put it into a G52 tranny without issue?

i think you are right,   almost sure of it
