OK... Ok....  I'll be more specific.  On a normal day I wouldn't think of snapping a twig at Victor's, let alone cutting an entire tree down.  But if worse came to worse.... hey, I'd at least use the tree to BBQ something tasty!  Does that make it any better?   :ack:

No no no.   You need to put it through the redneck toughness test.   Tie a chain to it and the other end to your truck.  Drag it down the highway for about 20 miles.  If theres anything left of it afterwards then it was a tough t-case.  :gap:
YOU ONLY NEED TWO TOOLS IN LIFE - WD-40 AND DUCT TAPE. IF IT DOESN'T MOVE
AND SHOULD, USE THE WD-40. IF IT SHOULDN'T MOVE AND DOES, USE THE DUCT TAPE.

IF YOU CAN'T FIX IT WITH A HAMMER, YOU HAVE AN ELECTRICAL PROBLEM.

Some of those parts and pices may be interchangeable, or usefull, so don't just toss it, strip the good stuff from it atleast. The output flanges, the block off plate on top, and possibly even the shift rails, could be used for future mods. I would tear it apart like Glen suggested, but mostly just to get a heads up on how it goes together, and all that. If the tranny , or tcase shifter interchanges with other models, you could use it to make a short throw shifter.

Hmmmm Does that t-case have a planetary gearset like the newprocess cases? It would be interesting to use the planetary gearset in front of a doubler, kinda like a clune v, or something. I suppose you couldn't do that without running that particular tranny, and building an adapter of sorts, but its an interesting thought non the less. :headscratch:
Hug your kids, pray for a soldier, and don't sweat the small stuff.
