Topic: spindle/wheel bearing problems???

ok so today i started piecing everything back together on the side of the axle i was rebuilding. i put the wheel bearings in the hub and put it on the spindle. then proceeded to try and put the adjusting nut on but there isnt enough threads on the spindle for the other 2 or 3 things that need to go on. and i double checked that i put the spindle and backing plate on correctly. so i dont know what it could be..

when you did the wheel bearings, did you get the races to fully seat against the stops in the hub?  Could just need to beat on it a little more.

Soft hammer and a couple good whacks it will start on the seat and you can finish it with the nut.

ok just to make sure, you put the spindle behind the brake dust shield right? thats how i have it now.
