Hey all I ran into a problem and need your help. I am setting up gears in an 85 4 runner and can not get the crush sleave to crush. We stripped 3 pinion nuts trying. I used a big breaker bar, and a 3/4" impact. I even tried to start the crush in the press. I pressed it to with in 10 thou but it would not move the last 10. I measured the shafts they are the same I measured the ditance between bearing compared to the original ones, the same. I can get the preload right if I leave the sleave out ( that is how I do initial set up). These are Yukon gears 5.29s purchased from Marlin Crawler. Help what do I do.
I have done lots of gears but mostly dana stuf and a few Zuks never had this, even with other crush sleave diffs.
