With the auto trans?  I think you need a body lift for sure.

You shouldnt have to body lift it. I made my own motor mounts and cut the tranny tunnel out alot to stuff the transfercase up higher.

Could you post pictures of how you did that. I know Kurt wasn't looking forward to a BL or so he told me.

I didn't have to body lift mine. I did build a cowl induction hood so it would clear a bit better though.

Its recommended that you have a 2" body lift, just to make it easier for you to fit the engine in the engine bay. Also I hope that you are not going to try to smog it since the engine is older than your runner, the engine needs to be 1 year newer than the toy. Thats how it is in California anywats.

I didn't have to do the body lift ether, I just put spacers on my hood hinges, changed the air cleaner and massaged the tranny tunnel a bit, oh yeah that is with a crossmember that lifted the tranny apx 1".

You dont need any of those things. You can sit the engine low enough and far back that you wouldnt have to use any body lift, or cut the cab or anything. Checkout my build. The engine has plenty of room, and doesnt even come near the hood. I used the stock exhaust manifolds, and just had to notch about 1/4" on the right frame rail for room.

Its awsome power, and the auto tranny is awsome to work with. Ive never stalled the engine, and hit the mountains with plenty of power.  Its a good choice of engine, and not too difficult to put in.
