shim size

i was wondering what was the thickness of the original shims that go under the steering arms when u put crossover on , cause i lost my originals so i put some that came with the knuckle rebuild kit. i have no probs but i was just wondering. thanks jeff :turtle:

there's 3 different factory shim thicknesses and it also depends on how many were there.

the consensus is that nearly all axles came setup with 1 thick and 1 thin shim under each steering arm and the same for under each lower cap.

if you have a little more wear then a .010 shim added in doesnt hurt,  just keep things even top to bottom as close as possible

Thats what I got on mine, setup was perfect for my hysteer.
IFS is best kept at ambient temperature in a pile of scrap in the backyard.  When kept under a functioning vehicle, it tends to greatly diminish said vehicle's offroad ability.     -reklund5
