What is it and how do you get it off so you can take off the driver pulley?

Thanks.

Pulley has a keyway, the woodruff key holds it in position on the shaft. It fits in a groove on the shaft that the pulley slides onto. When you pull the pulley you will see it

Okay, I've looked at it and know what you are saying...so do you just tap the pulley off?  Need some SST?  Or am I making this way damn harder than it really is...thanks.

I have been able to tap mine off w/a plastic hammer alternating sides. This is the crankshaft pulley you are referring to?
