yeah, you see alot of toyota Hilux's in australia, it has to be imported if you want one in the US
'99 SR5/TRD Tacoma w/5vzfe. SAS'd with 64" diamond axle (w/ long superset & ARB). about 5" of lift, 305/75 x16 BFG KM1's. Soon to come: 1.5" more lift (6.5"), 35 to 37" tire, undecided at this point., 63" F/F diamond rear, Marlin 4.7 tacobox.

 :)  Yeah, diesel is good.  You can get one from Japan too.  The good news, they are straight axle.  :thumbs:

We actually had some of those in the us as us models from 81-83.  So how do I actually respond to that ad?  I found one not too far from me on craiglist for cheap but couldn't send a message.

I asked my insurance company (farmers), and they said, they will not insure a vehicle that was imported, it has to be made for the US only.

 :confused:  never thought of that,,,,maybe I would check around, there is some hotrod insurance companies, why wouldnt they cover an import, its a specialty vehicle.....
