R151F transmission measurements
« on: Nov 19, 2005, 10:51:04 AM »
Marlin lists most of the popular Toyota transmission measurements on his website. But not the measurements for the R151F Toyota turbo transmission. I would like to know the measurements to see how close the shifters would be to the stock location in a carbed 84' 4runner. Marlin list the following measurements: Overall length, Length from bellhousing to center of transmission shifter, and length from bellhousing to center of transfer case shifter. If anyone out there has a R151F transmission laying around ::) or knows these measurements It would be greatly appreciated. Thanks In advance. Worley

I"ll get you some measurement tomorrow.  I have one I picked up for my trail rig in the shop.  I also put one in my 85 carbed PU.  If I remember correctly, the overall lenght is within a 1/4 of the G52 that came out.  The shifters lined up almost exactly were my G52 were.

Thanks In advance ccannon! I really do appreciate your time and effort. According to Marlin's website the G52 measurements are: Overall length 25 3/8", Bellhousing to center of transmission shifter 18 7/8", and bellhousing to center of transfer case shifter 23 1/4" Just FYI. Thanks again Worley

I did some quick measurements of a R151F and a G52.  R151F:  Overall 25 1/2  Bell to center trans shifter 19 and 23 1/4 bell to t-case shifter.  The measurements are within 1/16 of an inch to the G52.
