I have been looking long and hard for a place were yotas are the main topic of discussion and though I have found a few this one is by far the best. The buildups are great and have loads of technical information which is what I am looking for.
I have been playing with the idea of a suspension lift, but not just a lift, a lift that would give me more articulation which is my main goal. I have researched for a long time and so far I found that the trail flex kit from Marlin, and the All pro off road kits to be the most complete and the only ones that deliver the promised articulation that I am looking for.
However, there are a couple of details for which I have not found precise information even after searching the topics in this list.
With regards to these 2 lift kits that seem to be very similar. What are other items will need attention installing this lift? Will I have to do some work on the driveshafts? if so what needs to be done? It seems to me that with the added articulation the slip in the stock drive shat will not be enough. what about the center bearing in the rear driveshaft? will it have to go? What are recommendations for tire size and gearing? I thinking of 33'for this build. What can I expect in terms of handling on road? I have heard that lifted trucks have serious problems with handling on road and alignment issues.
This kits are not plug and play kits, and not cheap, so I very much need to know what to expect, and what additional work I will have to do on top of installing the kit.
I am quite handy with tools and have all the needed ones to install this lift without having any problems...I hope...
Thanks for your help
José
