Ok, I'm going to be picking up a 96+ 4runner

Is there anything I should be on the lookout for?

It will probably be a floor-shift automatic with a 5VZ-FE 3.4L V6.

What transmission/transfer case combo will it have?

automatic toy,  and a toy chain drive case  :dunno:
