figgured i would post up my truck specs, seeing as i'm new around here.
1980 toy
5 MGE motor swap
w56 tranny
85 axles(4:37's)
locked rear, open front(for now)
35" Krawlers
shirttybuilt bumpers
on board air tanks


whats it's getting,
new bumpers,sliders
flat deck with exo cage
locked front
dual cases

the usuall stuff, it's fun for playing in.

i'll post some trail flex shots after sat. 's run. i just recently bought the truck. had the motor swap already. i added my krawlers and a fe small things. sliders go onit tomorw and my rear bumper. take the shittybuilt's off.
i had it out last weekend and it flexed pretty good. better than my jeep used to anyway.
had it up on three wheels as well. pretty fun. i need a locker for the front or weld it up soon.
it's not a DD so i'm not concerned with road manners. i also have to add my x over steering to get rid of this push/pull crap.

You should post up some good shots of the engine bay, I've been thinkin about swappin in a 5m or 7m in my 80 but was thinkin it would be a really tight fit.

got some pics yesterday, our local group held a newb run so i went to help out.

couple of my truck and then a shot of the group.

took off the ugly smitty built front bumper, and side nerfs, and huge side mirrors. put ona  2nd gen front bumper untill i build one, and through the side mirrirs off a trooper on it.
looks a bit better now. thinking of swapping a 3rd gen extra cab on it htough.

How's the power with 4.37 gears and 35's on hills?
My truck should scream with a 5mge and 5.29 gears with 35's.

Thats a good looking 1st gen I really like it nice and clean.
