a smaller rear axle meaning what? narrower? or do you mean the fact most 4x2s came with a 7.5" rear end... my 4x2 has an 8" rear end... its going to be a good amount of work, but from everything i have heard, its actually easier to convert a 4x2 into a 4x4 with sas than it is to sas 4x4 with ifs....as my truck is an 85, the rear end i have is as narrow as an 85 SA so there would be no difference is track width of my current axle and a sa conversion
It would be nice not having to cut as much crap off. 2wds are even easier to fing than 4wds so that would be a bonus. Are the doors off of 3rd gens trucks the same for 2 and 4 wheel drive?
