Rear Spring ideas??

I've got a 84 ext. cab...I run 2in. body.lift.36 tsls..but with plans of running 38's....my frame is chopped behind the rear hanger... I'm planning on ordering Allpro's 3 in  up front but i need a different spring in the rear  I don't want to run Chevy's   Any help would appreciated

Run Marlin's 3" in the rear.

U mean their 4in? I don't see any 3in ..Wouldn't that involve me moving the back hanger?

Yes you'll have to move your rear hanger back if it's in it's stock location.   


Did you box your rear frame?  Maybe fab up something to get a hanger a few inches further back?  Else find a spring the same length with more height.

f-150s with a dual shackle then fab up a stop for your shackle connected to the frame

Yeah the frame is boxed in so I can't move the rear hanger ...I have Mazda's on the rear right now,and I like them but I won't get the same lift as the front when i get my new ones..I was thinking of running 56" ranger springs..but I haven't seen anyone with them to know how good they are

I run bronco II rear springs flipped around, with a arced wagoneer leaf probably 3.5 of lift great flex and no Los of lift. Thats on 4-runner, my buddy runs just the stock pack on a pickup with about the same lift. Price is right.

take the springs you have and add some chevy 2wd leafs into the pack,  lift for under $40

Go F150 springs. I vote those all the way. They are cheap and mine flex really well. I moved my front spring hanger (for the rear axle) forward about 5 3/4 inch and I am using the stock F150 shackles and also some 6" eye to eye shackles. I know you want the ones out of late 80s early 90s F150s and they are about 53-54 inches long. Mine are 53" with no weight on them. I got mine for free because it was a straight trade for some 3rd gen pickup rear springs but at the Pick n pull theyre like $40.
