Well me and Geno are thinking about goin up to the lakes on the 8th of October. If not the 8th (saturday) then maybe the 9th (sunday) but most likely the 8th if we can get up there. At this point itd be Geno, me and my bro. Anyone is welcome to come... Its still not concrete but were thinkin about it.

Im assuming this is right in the chico area? Whats the difficulty level of that trail? If I were to lincoln lock my rear could I make it? Is going to be just a day trip or an overnighter? I wanna go Tell me more.

trail is rated difficult.  Last half-mile supposed to be the worst.  It's like 30mi from Chico.  I'd tell ya more, but I've never run it.

Yes the last half mile is gnarly going into Morris Lake. Its about 55 miles from chico actually. I havent been there in years. Everytime I plan to go there someone with me breaks and it pisses me off like no other. Ive only been into and past Spring Valley lake (first lake) a little bit this year. Its a cool trail.

Didnt even see your post till now, weird. Ummmmm youd probably make it pretty far in until around Morris Lake. Its a huge dip right by there... If i remember right....

Yeah I dunno lilbuddy, its a long ride back home from Chico if I end up breaking, I have no body armor and no spare IFS parts. Not a good combo.

   Hmmm, fawking TDY got cancelled for this weekend so I think I am going to take a trip to Vallejo and pick up some square tubing and drag out the Dinosaur that my dad calls a welder and try and make some sliders. Then if that dont take me all weekend then I'll tear apart the rear axle and weld the tird...I mean third member.    Now if I can just figure out what happened to my skidplate for the front diff. If all this gets done then I will go up there with ya'll and make an attempt at the trail.

Depends Mike... We could even camp and mess around up there. I dont know if youd want to drive up this far, unless, you come just to see me of course. Ill look at my work schedule and maybe we can camp the night or something too... I honestly dont know  because I havent been down the whole trail in a while. Maybe someone like FIREBALL or BLUCRUZ will see this since they know more about that trail then I do they can say more details on the trail. Ill let you all know more later.

bigmike unless you wana go  help clear trail into ben lomond area the train aint hard..  buddy of min thor took a 2wd yota through ben lomond.. top of morris and such..  otherwise   it gets boring fast  but loads of great scenery..  morris lake isnt hard by anymeans unless you want to make it way hard..  saddle lake is much harder ( 15 feet of hell)   ive taken my toyota camry into spring valley lol..   but hey if you wana come up and check it out bring it on  i'll see about slapin my junk together and join ya

Thanks bigbluewillys for keeping an eye out but I could buy Marlins sliders for $170! I just cant be spending much money right now.

The pictures that you posted I am assuming are morris? Looks like a real fun section...for a built rig. If I go then I'll be running welded rear and 31's with some booty fab sliders. I'll have to talk to lilbuddy more and find out what his plans are for the weekend. I wanna do some real wheeling with my truck, time to upgrade from firetrails and service roads

I got my R&P today.  Just need to get it installed and I should be good to go.

RHG, your rig will do fine up there. TRUST ME, i won't bull you. There is a main trail in, with some spurs that go to places like Morris Lake and Saddle Lake. There are other trails that go by very scenic lakes that you can camp by that your truck will get to no prob. Your truck will make it into all but the last 1 or 2 hundred yards of Morris too. It's just the last bit that's pretty tough.
BigMike, just ask your dad about Morris. Ask him who, in the open diff rig, came out easier than he did. Then watch him blush.
It is worth the time to come up. I have to work Sunday, but could do a day run Saturday with you guys. And Mike you know you always have a place to stay as usual.
