ok so i am rebuilding my front axle and i am having a hard time getting the short side back in, i can get it all the way till the wide part of the birf has to go through the bell, it does not seem like it will fit at all, will probably take a micrometer to it today.  thanks
You win some, you lose some.

Duffil

do you have the flats on the birf at 12:00 and 6:00? that's where they need to be.

FIREBALL

hopefully your housing isn't bent.
I had the same prob, turned out my housing was bent and I had to find another one.

Hyena

did you try spinning the driveline?  Maybe the splines aren't lining up.  splines look clean?

prolly too late to post this but loosen the nuts to the knuckle studs...that will allow the upper arm to raise a little..I found someitmes it causes the birfs to hang up..
Forgiveness is between them and god..
Its my job to arrange the meeting!

Hyena

OOO, i thought the nuckles were off.  That could be it.
