Miller Super S 32-P welder **SOLD!**
« on: Sep 11, 2005, 08:16:06 PM »
Have this welder Miller super s-32p welder and never use it.  We have an identical one at work which I've used extensively and it's an awesome welder.  It was the first mig I was able to use successfully, let alone make a nice weld with.  I've welded in mounts for a generator in a house boat and they've gone 2 years without cracking.  The reason I don't use it is because like I said, we have the same one at work, and because you have to have a bigger arc welder to run this one, it won't run off 110/220.  You take the power lead off the big welder and hook it to this one, hook up your ground, hook up your gas and mig away.  I'm not sure of the power requirements for this one are, but if you call your local miller shop they can fill you in.  This welder is ready to use with all the leads and a big spool of solid wire, just hook it up to your welder and bottle and go.  My pics are too big for here and not very good, but if you're interested pm me and I'll email you some pics.  Not sure on price, it was $1300 new, check it out and make me an offer.

Pics a comin...

Negatory chief, I didn't get screwed cause I didn't actually pay that, the company I work for paid that for theirs.  But if you look closer at what it comes with it doesn't have everything to actually use it, you just get the case and guts and hafta buy everything else, hence the higher price tag, plus local shops usually charge more.  Also, I bought it from the widow of a mobile heavy equipment mechanic who got shot outside his house by the pd(just cause he was waving a gun around?!) and didn't pay a whole lot, just wanna get enough to buy the welder I can actually use.  Thanks for the great link though, I probably woulda never found that one myself.  And hOnke, my computer took on a virus last night so pics might be a while coming but I'll ship em your way asap.  I'll try and go to my boss's house and send em to you when he gets back from a trip in a few days.

Maybe he'll get pop'd by the PD for waving around a .357 mag around that YOU gave him?    :dunno:

Nice welder but a bit to pricey for me, what size wire does it take?

UUmmm, this seems kinda out of left field?  Only thing I'd be waving a .357 at is a chargin cat or pig.
Did I already quote you a price cause I know I haven't put one up yet, been mostly pming people.  It takes .023 - 5/64" wire with a maximum spool size of 12" and 30lbs, and currently has a large spool on it.  Like I said, WILL CONSIDER TRADES.  If it doesn't go soon it looks like I'll just be leaving it at work and doing my projects there, plus I don't technically need a .357 anymore so I don't technically need to sell the welder, but money talks....

Dunno bout the thickness or heat range, the link doesn't really say if I remember right.  I'll hafta run up and see if it says inside the case.  I know I've welded 1/4" with it turned no where near all the way up.  If it doesn't say inside the case I'll try and do a search and see if I can't find out more info.

So it's like a year later, but I finally sold this tonight.  Sometimes I love craigslist!  I didn't get the $7-800 I had hoped for, but when you need it and the opportunity presents itself you just hafta do it.  I made money still so all's fine, plus I sold the 32s I had listed through craigslist today too, so it was a pretty decent day.

The guy that bought it is a professional welder and knew exactly what he was buying.  There was the question of how thick will it weld?  When I said I knew it'd do anything I wanted on my truck he said, "well, it's really more for stuff like building bridges".  I knew it was powerful but damn!
