Question about Marlin Crawler's Sliders

I purchased the MC sliders and I understand how to mount them, but I also received some "boomerang" pieces of metal and wasn't sure what they are for?

No pics, but they are about an 1/8" thick and about 3 inch wide in a boomerang shape.  The MC sliders came with about 10 of them.

The gussets are optional. You can use them on the frame where the legs weld on.

OO, i see.  Use them, they will help a lot when you slide along rocks, your frame won't bend as much.

I'd use the gussets for sure..or at least plate the frame where the sliders mount..  just my

Thanks for the input.  I am going to weld on the sliders this weekend, so I will plan to weld the gussets onto the frame.
