rear suspension

so I just purchased a 1993 toyota four runner and I plan to do a straight axle swap soon, how ever thats not my problem area. I dont know much about the rear suspension on my new rig and I have no clue where to look for good flexible strong kits. I was thinking of doing leaf springs in the rear but I dont know if there is a better solution. What did all you guys do to your newer runners? Also where should i look for good rear suspension kits for it? any info would be great. Thanks.

All-Pro Off Road sells landcruiser springs that fit your 4Runner and give about 5.5" of lift. They also sell all the extended links you will need. This 4 link setup pretty well and rides very smooth on the road. check it out.

under heavy use you will rip the stock link mounts off..go 4 link or rear leafs because you will be unhappy with the stock runner link set up..not to mention its pretty weak..for a tril rig it might be fine,,but if rocks or abuse is in its future go another route..

well it will only be a trail rig for a while since its my daily driver and its in mint condition, but as soon as I get enough money for a new-ish truck it will become crawler. When that day finally arrives it will probably get 4 linked in the rear with full widths and all that junk. Thanks for the advice guys.
