ATV's --& Honda Rincon 650
« on: Aug 29, 2005, 07:29:59 PM »
Well  so Saturday  i was at my friends house  helping clear out brush for a paint ball field. One of are friends had a   :reg: Polaris 700 awd
and i drove around on it. and it brot back memories  of my old  Honda 125 tyke  & 200SE quad & yamaha 750 bike

SO i have been looking at new honda quads  and  99.9% think  im gona get this.

I sat on it today  it is a beast  the pic dose not do it justice.  and the guy said it was around 6000$ somthing   I did not have time  to real sit down and talk do to the fact i was working and  just pasing buy.

SO what you guys think?  Last time i had  one  i went out riding after work  at dinner  then back out every night.
The only down side is    all the mods i was gona do to the truck  will have to go bye bye  othere then the stuff that needs to be fixed+ in a nother month ot 2  snap-on will be paid off  so more $$ will be free.

Dont get an atv with a solid axle. I have a Yamaha Kodiak 450 with IRS and I will never go back to a solid rear axle again! The stability is out of this world! You can get a good deal on a Yamaha Grizzley when the new model year comes out.

Do it, Hondas kick ass.  I've owned quite a few bikes and nothing seems to be built as well as a Honda.  I'd love to pick up a fourtrax but need to sell a truck or streetbike to do so, and don't think that's gonna happen soon.

Eh, who needs resale. Just run it into the ground. I really like my Kodiak 450. I got it for 5,700 off the showroom floor. It rolled 10-15 times down a steep hill and started right up and I drove it home. All that happened was the front rack got bent and the plastics were scratched. Very solid machine!

resale to me is not a big deal,,but to some it is..the grizzly has been a pretty good machine but its had alot of little stupid :pokinit: go wrong with it from the head light bulbs falling out to shifter problems and other misc :pokinit: that should not go wrong on a newr bike thats not abused,,thats all..

YA the Honda 125 tryk    i had    I could not tell you how many times i rolled that.  it had a cracked case and leak oil like crazy  and we ran her hard along with running her full throttle  in to 1-2 feet puddles.  Also my Honda 200SE quad    i would pop a wheeling to stand her up on the rear racks   then pop her in reverse  and do polish wheelies

That's pretty wicked!  If I ever get a shop I'm gonna resto my 1978 XR75.  Had it since the mid 80s and it's still in pretty good shape and has the original front tire, but it'd be cool to clean it up.

kneedown...you know what a Trail 70 looks like? I have one that was my dads when he was a kid. Only 72cc but its pretty fun and can get it up to about either 38-48. I cant remember cause its been a while since I have rode it. Its a Honda and its been beat and its still going strong. Besides the kick start being trashed inside the case its still as solid as it was new. We just push start the thing now.
