yah that was lake pilsberry on new years.  The lake was at like a third of it's capacity so there was seriously a half mile of mud just to get to the lake and most of it was only like six inches deep but really slick and all pretty much flat.  I would get going like 45 in 4wd then I would upshift and slam it in 2wd and was getting crazy.

drop drag link.

How does that drop drag link do on the rocks? Is it detrimental to your flex?

Don't know about hurting the flex.  I guess if it was at a bad angle.  But it made it harder to turn.  I switched to high steer and it is like night a day.

Okay Peter here is what you need to realize. Life isn't all about size. Your friends wont laugh at you if you don't have 40 inch tall tires. If you move down to a 35 or 37 inch tire and some Chevy 63"s in the rear and the rears up front with a custom pack you will have much better flex. Ask someone with this setup what is in their custom pack and how happy they are with it. I have heard you can get 5" of lift with this setup, but the Chevy springs are rock hangers, not that it really matters in the mud.

Dude, I appreciate the input. I hear the Chevies are rock anchors too. I am planning on buying the 5" Trail Flex from Marlin when they get in stock. I am fed up with my lack of flex and a few other things on my truck. I'll keep you posted. I am planning on welding on a drop front hanger in a few weeks too.
