Hey all, I need a 3.0 in running shape, for as cheap as possible. I am located in northern california, and I am trying to get my rig in wheelin shape by the MCR4. preferabley 90 or newer, cause all the plugs will line up, but I am not picky. Let me know what you got, I'm mostly just looking for one that runs, mileage isnt important.

Hey BD I called all over the place, surfed every corner of the web that I knew about and every one thinks this engine is worth its weight in gold. I tried telling a few people that this is a POS engine and that they are asking way to much for it. Sorry man but I gave up. Nobody would let one of these go for less than a grand! Even with 200,000 miles. Dummys. I hope you can patch this thing together enough to get back and forth to work and stuff. Good luck.

I have one that was rebuilt about a year ago. I just pulled it because I am swapping in a fuel injected 302 V8.
Since rebuild it has about 40000 miles; The following was done during the build.
All internal parts brand new.
Crank reground, Heads shaved 10 thou, fully ported and polished, gasket matched, Throttle body bored 3mm, K&N FIPK with prefilter, etc..etc.. Will sell complete with the 5 spd R series transmission and a host of spare engine parts to put another one almost together.
Need the cash to complete my swap.
$1000.00 and its all yours

I have one that runs decent. I think it needs plugwires or something then it would be a good runner. The previous owner hit a stump and bent the frame otherwise it was daily driven. Doens't use anti freeze. The truck had 330,000 miles on it but the motor had been redone at some point. 300$ plus shipping. Let me know if interested.

Looks better than mine. Buy it so I don't have to lift my 3.0 into the back of my truck and ship it.
