what axle to use?

i have an 86 ifs rear, and i want to put it in my 85, but the 86 has an auto tranny, and the 85 is a 5spd, just wondering if the ratio  will be the same front and rear after the swap, heard the gears lower with auto tranny,thanks

look at the color on the end of the pinion. or pull it and count the teeth. if its not the same ratio just put the third out of the 85 in the 86 rear.
89 ext cab sas with diamond +4 1/2" housing 30 spline longs and hub gears, hp elocker, six studs, arp studs in everything, taco rear with elocker. swaped out 22re for 3.4l supercharged, urd 2.0" pulley, urd fuel management, downey headers, flowmaster, cold air intake, marlin clutch that is straining to hold up

i have a v6 4 pinion 3rd with 4.30 gears...any takers??
