The first statement is what I think I know, but feel free to correct me.

1.  The blinkers are wired in parallel, but if no blinker lights are hooked up, the flasher will not make the "clicky" sound.
2.  What is special about the hazard lights that allow the flasher to "click" without any blinkers hooked up?
3.  Can the blinkers and hazard flashers can be hooked up to the same wire on the light?
4.  Are the dash lights and headlights on the same relay, or are the dash lights even on a rely?
5.  When I hook up the white/black wire for ground (correct??) I don't get a light, but when I actually ground the light, I get a light.

Thanks for the help and if I need to search more feel free to let me know.

If the blinkers arent hooked to the flasher unit there is not ground path for the power to go so the circuit is open and stays that way.

The hazard has its own ground to keep it from interfering with the blinker circuit

Im pretty sure you can run them both off the same wire beings thats how it is stock. (I think)

The dash lights are ran off the same relay as the marker lights.  The dash light just contains the potentiometer to dim them.

Which light are you talking about?  A blinker or a dash light?
Full hydro, 186:1 with an auto and 44's what could go wrong??

I'm talking about both, sorry for the confusion.  I didn't know the hazard lights are on their own ground.  I take it the blinkers are grounded with the white/black wire and the hazards are grounded strictly through the frame.

So are these all on the same relay as the actual headlights??

No the headlights are on a seperate curcuit.  The ruses for them is in the fuse box under the hood.  Should be two 7.5 amp fuses side by side.

Yea the light wiring ground is always white with a black stripe.  Dash grounbds are brown with a black stripe if I recall.

Not searching for fuses, just trying to understand Toyota's wiring scheme.

Thanks for help
