hey, come borrow my compressioin tester again and see if it is one specific cylinder (I'm guessing rings are shot on one or something). Don't know that you will wanna do much but might be good to find the problem area still.

Alright, now to add to my list, today my truck learned a new trick.  I was in traffic, and I pushed my clutch in, and it stayed on the floor.  at the same time, I couldn't shift into any of my gears.  I pulled the pedal up with my toe, and pressed it in again, and it worked fine. About 2 miles later, I pushed in the clutch, at a light, but left it in gear ( cause I didnt want to be caought in traffic not being able to shift) and even though my clutch was pressed in, my truck ran under power.  In otherwords, it acted like the clutch was out.  It was dark when I got home, so I couldnt check anything, but what could this be?  Lack of pressure in the lines?  bad M/C or Slave Cylinder?  I've never heard of this problem before, and now its ontop of a "bad" motor

Leaky flex line...

It's on the pasg. side of the firewall, just behind the intake manifold.  Check there first.  Then check the actuator rod on the master cylinder inside the truck where it attaches to the pedal to see if it's leaking.  Then  check the actual clutch pedal bracket (sometimes they break when they get old) to see if its cracked or binding the pedal movement.  Lastly, check the slave cylinder on the trans for leakage.   

FYI, we replace those flex lines pretty often at work.

Yeah run the thick stuff, its a little bit more expensive but you might consider running a quart of lucas. It does a god job. I had a 2.9l in my ranger and I ran 2quarts of lucas with 3 quarts of 20-30 to keep a lifter from colapsing. That stuff should help seal your engine up.  Oh, I will send you the first dollar if I get to pic where my name goes on your truck!
