FORDYCE JULY 29-31

  1ST Group
   7AM Friday Morning group meeting at Cordeila,In the burger king parking lot after that grabbing a friend in Auburn 9AM Off to trail

2ND Group Friday night (the ones that cannot take the day off)

     Leave around  6.(fairfield)N texas st. No stops Xcept for gas and Ice.

I have 3 friends leaving friday evening.I will have more Info and Will post Tuesday afternoon.

2nd Group will meet 1st Group after 1st crossing Fri Night (camp)

I was hoping maybe at the Raleys on the Foresthill Ravine Rd exit because theres a Chevron right next to it and I needa fill at a Chevron (got my dads Chevron card since Im broke as a joke). If not then I will fill there then go to where you guys are meetin at???

So me and Toy on 40s are going for sure.  We will be starting the trail early saturday morning most likely.  Are you guys heading in right next to the Indian Springs campground?  I think thats were we started the last 2 times i went.  Not exactly sure though.

Im gonna gas up at the Chevron right off of Foresthill Ravine Road (I think I already told you that)... Im gonna leave Chico at 7am and hopefully meet up with you guys around 845. Are you guys going to be in a parking lot there or what?

       What lug pattern for your trailer?I have a 6lug lying here(white spoke)I would replace tire though(sun Rot).You can have it for a spare!

  I have a Good Question,Were can I find one of those mesh bag's?(potatoe bag?)their Real tough. They make great trash bags,That is not the proper name, Just cant think of it at the moment.

Man i wish i could have met with you guys. I had to work saturday but i was up at fordyce last thursday all day, went to the first crossing then headed back. I was the only rig on the trail, i had no room for error...post pics when you get back.

The carnage for use.  I broke a nuckle stud.  Toy on 40s broke a heim joint on his hydrolic steering.  And when we were about 5 minutes from our tow rigs coming back on the pavement doing about 35 mph his front output shaft nut came off so the top part of his driveline came off the shaft.  Oil all over the ground, but we put kitty litter over it and then picked it up.  He also rolled it once on its side.

 Just got Home..
        I blew all gears but 3rd on the way home, Drove from Citris Heights to home in 3rd gear!
  Passenger rear 1/4 panel smoked!And to top it off I got a nail on the trail.Some great carnage little buddy proceeded to have a camp fire under the hood and then sheared all bolt to front D-shaft on bypass on WH1.Brent lost an altenator.JW sheared center pin bolt and also got a nail.Couchracing broke passenger shock mount and broke a spring.
        This was my first fordyce trip I had a blast!

Sounds like you guys had a good time. I was up there in my white 86 shortbed.  I was with the blue first gen with the exo and a couple other white toys . maybe I will post up some pics.

Yeah that was a good trip. getting back to my trailer was a screwed situation after my front output nut worked lose and shot the drivline off if i didnt have the skidplate with the guard around the driveshaft i would have put a pretty hole in my t case

It was a blast!!! Like over rev said, I had a little bond fire underneath my hood and I sheared the bolts off my front shaft on the bypass of winch hill 1. The amp wire from my battery hit what holds the battery in and then welded it on and just started a nice little fire. Met up with Hyena and Toy On 40s right when i broke my dline bolts by winch hill 1. I will post up some pics in a bit. I know for sure now that I need duals! My clutch didnt like me much but I never smelled it once... Just had to give it a little gas and get around. I also didnt mash up my long bed at all! Bumper has a few new scratches but thats it. Oh yeah and on the way home my steering shaft came off the body. Luckily I was not going very fast at all and also that it didnt happen while i was on 80. Definatly will go back again sometime.
