Well guys here are my plans for today, wake up at 4 am, take shower, cousin coming over at 6 am, take all scrapes out to local junk yard and get some much needed$$, and last night my neghbor came over to see just what i was up too cause of all the grinding, and i was cutting off the old body lift mounts ( yes bolts were that rusted), and well he owns a welding shop here in town and said he had a sandblaster that we could used to blast the frame to see how bad it is, so my cousin is gonna be brining over the air compreser soon too, so about 8 30 am we are gonna go pick up the sand blaster, blast the frame, and gonna see how much it would cost for him to re-box my frame. after that got my LAST Behind the wheel at 1pm, then gonna work somore until 6pm, at 6 pm im going to mcdonalds for Logans 6th birthday party( i babysit him), and yes its even a play area in this 1 :eyebrow: , and then that gets done at 8pm then work sommore until i feel like quiting, and also planing to get the main pieces of the flatbed welded today after i get the materials. well theres my entire day, and you all have a great day now :usa:

I agree on the rust, I mean, my '79 looked better than that and I wouldn't trust it on the road the way it was.   :shudder:

And MiniSimp that is beautiful!

If you have an engine and brakes you're ok...Today in my F250 I was pulling a ranger out of the mud and something made a weird hissing sound...i think its exhaust and then the brakes are dangerously low, but the while brake system is getting replaced tomorrow in a shop where my dad gets his volvo semi flatbed serviced so it should be fine...man that 250 is a good rescue truck lol

i guess rust is something you have to live with in minnesota, with all the road salt...

snow + road salt = RUST

Lol well the sand only helps to speed up the rust really, ok heres the basics on rust problems, belive it or not most ruist is caused by heat/humidiy, rain dosent affect the metal until the metals "covering is eatin away by the heat", and then when salt and sand gets up in the open areas u got some trouble.

So its not just salt in winter but also the temp.
