I think they make a kit for the e-locker to convert to a cable.

I said e-locker, I may have said ox but I've never had the pleasure of seeing one operate. I have seen to many arb's fail to work for one reason or another and a friend of mine put the e-locker with the manual conversion in the rear of his truck and except for where he put the lever and getting it adjusted right it has been flawless.

ARB is tried & true and if properly set up It's almost indestructable. The e-locker is cheaper and easy to use in older 8" housings. The adaptability of the cable to the e-locker makes it a little more desirable. Functionality of the arb and the e-locker are basically the same so it's preference, Air or Electricity :shocking: !

the e-locker only needs electricity to lock and unlock while the arb needs consistant air pressure. so if your in a hairy spot and you lose air pressure the arb will unlock and your in trouble. my .02

I like the idea of fewer moving parts.  I would go with an e-locker and a mechanical engage/disengage.  The ARB is a good unit but the compressor and the possibility of leaks would cause me to go with the manual locker.

I say ARBs...very strong, and you might as well have air for tires and such, right?

e-lockers all the way. for some weird reason that your e-locker disengages on the trail all you have to do is pull the motor off the diff and slide the peice over. do that with you failing arb!
is it bad when you unplug the power wire from your stereo and it still plays

I would agree that the ARB is a strong locker, but I've seen way too many times that when they really needed it something didn't work. Be it the compressor, relief valve, hose, switch, etc, etc. Give ease of operation to me and I'll take it, to much junk for an ARB to work. When my friend first got his elocker with the manual conversion it wouldn't ingage so we just climbed under to actuate it.
