so I found a 1996  4 runner good shape 4cyl is pretty zippy with a 5 speed seems perfvect for a project...will 8" thirds fit it? what about the dual Tc's?

Hmmm...my 96 came with the 3.4L v6, auto. Didn't know the 4cyl was an option.

I believe the rear is an 8", but not sure about the front. Mine came with an E-locker in the rear, so I'm not messing with it.

is it the 2.7 L...don't know if they were in the 96 runners, if so it is a very good engine.  It will probably have a chain driven case so duals may be a little more complicated.
IFS is best kept at ambient temperature in a pile of scrap in the backyard.  When kept under a functioning vehicle, it tends to greatly diminish said vehicle's offroad ability.     -reklund5

Sweet thanks guys, I actually took possession today!!! I love it way more then the 2005 Dakota.

IT needs a little TLC (paint touch up running boards pulled etc...)but That rocks that all my toy stuff will swap over when I'm ready...
