Hello everybody,
I finally got my treated birfields from Bobby Long the other day and got the Tonka back up and running again. It drives great. I learned how to do a wheel alignment. I cleaned up everything and it went back together well. I added some bling to some of my parts and existing ones. I painted my Marlink and calipers. I shaved the dust cover as well. It is looking great. Check out the photographs and tell me what you think. Thanks to all and particularly WHITE TRASH for helping me along the way. I would have never been able to do it without the help of you guys.
Have a good one,
Pete Kupfer

Here are some more photographs of the Tonka. Please excuse my lack of air dam. I am not sure if I want to straighten the original one out and repaint it or just trim straight across about a '.25-'.50 from the bottom of the headlight. Anyway, here are some more photographs.

Have you changed the jets in your carb?  I think I need to richen up the mixture on mine, but I don't know what it has in it now.

With the square bar, when I tighen everything down (both front and rear heims), I am able to see if the bar has moved. It is easy to adjust as well.

Correction: I am able to see if the bar has moved over an extended period of time, that is.

I have not changed the jets within the Weber. The Weber was installed when I bought the truck. I actually believe that my Weber runs a little rich. I don't mind it too much because it is not that bad and my motor stays cool, but in your case, I would definitely richen up the mixture a bit. I would rather be running a little rich than too lean and hot. There should be a screw on the  right transverse lateral (right rear side) of the carburetor to adjust fuel air mixture. If I am incorrect, someone please correct me. I am not totally familiar with the Weber as far as tuning (fuel/air) is concerned because my Weber runs great and I never see any radical angled inclines. I would recommend consulting WHITE TRASH due to his extensive knowledge and experience in his Toyota endeavors.

Happy trails,
Pete Kupfer
