Second Gen Hub Assembly...
« on: Jun 27, 2005, 07:55:06 AM »
I was wondering if a second gen Toyota IFS hub assembly would fit on the first gen Toyota solid axle spindle? If this is possible then I would not need spacers for my front axle and I could also use my old rotors and calipers.
Anyone heard of this?  :dunno:

Yes they fit, but also you need spacers to locate your rotor's back to their oringinal spot. The spacers are twice as much, but you will sleep easy knowing that you don't have to deel with the nightmare of your wheel spacers posibly coming loose. The spacers would now go on the back side of the hub between your rotor and hub.

My brain is on overload wanting to build a T4 solid axle with a 3.4.

Spacers schmacers.  save the money from using spacers and do this.  Hub swap  I did this same swap over a year ago and I still haven't had any issues.  I'm impressed because I beat on my junk pretty good and it has held up fabulously.
