It can be "tightened" by installing stronger loading springs.  This being at the expense of clutch pack life.  Bear in mind that even the tightest of LSs cant touch locker performance. If your after streetablity for a DD a tighter LS will cook itself and wouldnt be worth it. Either you want/need a locker or you dont,  you cant "cheat" a LS into working as well as a locker.
My two (tired) cents.

what i meant was,  different kinds of ls  have different  torque bias,  and as far as clutches go , that why i was leaning towards the detroit truetrac, not really a ls ,more of a posi trac, but not the total locker like the detroit
i dont see much rock crawling, i see more sloppy roads, log roads, construction sites.    what i REALLY need and keeping an eye out for is a electric locker

now i do go to hotsprings on occasion and some trails up there are really steep and need a full locker, but this is my daily driver and i see alot of highway miles, and when it snows here in the winter its usually more sleet and ice than actual snow,  i have a ls in the front and quite pleased with it, easy on berfs too,    :crossed:
