Bumpstops
« on: Jun 17, 2005, 11:44:27 PM »
Just thought I would let everyone know that if you're looking for awesome cheep bumpstops, the 2nd generation s-10 blazers have these super tall, squshy bumpstops that compress a little over 2". I'm pretty sure it's only a 1/2 nut to take them out. Also, the new trailblazers have the same bumpstops but they don't screw in, you can just rip them off by hand.

In summary, I have these on my rear and they're awesome. They compress really well and make for a smooooooth ride.

Bumpstops out of a 98 tahoe are spankin too.  Urethane and they bolt on easily.  ShawnB has the rear ones off of that same tahoe on the rear of his rig.  They just bolted onto the factory bracket on the frame.  Im using the front ones on my truck aswell.  Nice and cheap!

Sweet, I had to make new brackets in the rear because they're so damn tall but they take a beeting. I haven't been able to fab them up in the front so I only have polyurithane ones which I hate. They hit so damn hard.

BAM!  :nerv:

the poly ones Im using in the front are nice.  Im only off of them about 1" and I barely ever notice that Im on them.  I used the stock ones off of the front of the 94 and that was harsh. :ack:

These ones were free and look like little castles from Mario 3. But yeah, they're not bumpstops, they're BAMstops.

They look like this castle...

Ahhh they are about 1 1/2" round and stepped?  If so they are most likely evergy suspension.  I had some.  Too damned hard!  These ones and nice, you can sqeeze them with your hands just a bit which is way softer than most everything else.

They are way too brutal.  The ones from IFS are way better than those by far and they are free.  They still are pretty stiff but they give way more than the energy ones. ;)

Why not just use thestock one's from the back end of a 2wd? These seems fairly tall, and soft enough to work.
