Buy a hot knife and start carving, its the only way those tire are going to be worth a damn especially in the mud.

KYOTA

Thornturds are Intercos AT

WHITE_TRASH

Oh dear God tell me you that you are joking.  Thorntirds suck everywhere including the street.  They are the only interco tire that Id never own again.
Full hydro, 186:1 with an auto and 44's what could go wrong??

Bigbadtoy

when my buddy had them on his s10 they seemed to do alright. would you sugest a tsl insted i was about to click the confirm button but if you guys say they are :pokinit: then i wont get them. they look cool is that all they are good for?
i love playin in the mud

Duffil

pretty much...they are an AT tire...thats about it...

WHITE_TRASH

A bad wearing scary in the ran a/t that is.  Ive owned every type of interco tires out there and Ive liked them all for different reasons.  What are you going to do with these tires?  Street with a little offroad, mostly offroad trails etc.  Or are you going to do serious trail work?

awhotrods

LOL, worst tire for on and off-road, cancel your order ASAP!

Bigbadtoy

TSL's are a great tire. TSL/SX's are even better.

tsl will blow the doors off of the thornbird.
the radial is the ssr...right? buddy has them on his f-150 and they work pretty good...i think the lugs are closer together on the ssr then the other tsl's(they may not self-clean as well).

There is a TSL radial and there is the SSR, 2 different tires.

I hope by "last on the street" you would be happy with 15-20,000 out of the tires. All TSLs are not known for longevity on the road. For mud, I'd say Boggers (almost sound like they were made for the mud ehhhh??) or the SXs. You might get a little more street wear out of the SXs but not by much.

Bigbadtoy

how many miles do you think i would get out of a bogger?

b_ripper8

Not many if you're rocking pavement at highway speeds. TSL's are cheeper and do quite well on all terrains. I'm biased though.

On my old set of 35s, I got about 18,000 but If I had payed attention to my pressure better, I could have added a few thousand.

Its easy to get good mileage out of tsl's.  Just rotate them with every oil change and put the correct pressure in them.  Not what someone recommends by any means, you need to make sure that they are hitting the ground all the way across and not riding on the centers.  If the front starts to wear a bit off then rotate them and have your alignment checked.  Once the wear starts to get funny and you let it go kiss those tires goodbye. ;)

Id HIGHLY recommend ssr's over tsl radials any day of the week.  Standard radials suck ass offroad and they have a paper sidewall.  ssr's are a bit better for sidewalls and they do much better offroad.

NO! Thorn birds.  Go with a TSL or TSL/SX, Iroks arnt that bad either,  If it were trail only I would say cut boggers.

crawlerdan

hey man, i got almost 20000 out of a set of 38.5 inch boggers, ran 20-25 on the street, 2-6 off

silver_truck

What abou LTBs? I've got em and they're great, only 2k miles so far but the Swamper and TSl on  the treadblocks is still nearly perfect they work pretty well offroad IMO

No Power

GO SSR's
I bought a set of 33x10.50 thornbirds and
they were crap.
I sold them after about 10k miles for $150.
Do not buy the thornbirds.
Roll me back over !!!

toybuilt

Everyone sould know by now by word of mouth that thornbirds are the only crap tire that Interco makes.

LTB's Kick ass off road.  I've got the 34x10.5x15 and run them at 8 psi on a 8" rim.
They ride nice on road, they are loud, but expected.  Not sure what kind of milage I'll get out of them, but I really don't daily drive them either.  Can't beat the price.

89 toy

im runing 37"ssr's i have 15000 miles on them they still have 70% tread do good offroad. had a set of 33" thornturds lasted a long time but road ruff as hell no matter how offten they were balanced. they were so bad the vibration busted one of the mounts for my dash.they did ok in the sand and they climed out of ruts good but other then that they are crap would never run another set even if they were gave to me
