CAN I PUT A 1ST GEN SHORT BOX ON A 1ST GEN LONG BOX IF I CUT THE FRAME OR WILL I JUST HAVE TO BOB MY BED

i could be wrong but the wheelbases are different so the tires wouldnt lie under the wheel wells... just bob it, if you got the stuff to cut the frame..

The extra length between a longbed and a shortbed box is the area between the cab and the wheel wells. If you put a shortbed box on a longbed frame you'll have a nice gap between the cox and frame to install a custom tool box or a propane tank, whatever.
