Well here is the game plan, I will be ordering up a Marlin SAS kit sometime soon and was wondering about springs. I really havnt made up my mind about tire size. 35" or 37" Kinda leaning towards 35's because it matches 5.29's better. But bigger is better right? :eyebrow:  So here is my dilemma. :help:  Should I use Marlin springs or go with waggys in front and chevies in the rear? This will be my dd and I want to get the best articulation I can out of my suspension. This is my first Toyota buildup and any suggestions are  greatly appreciated.

Leave the chevies for someone else to waste their time on and put something else on there.  BroncoII's, ranger's, f150's whatever.  Hell I put scout II's in the back of a buddies x-cab and they work really well too.  Whatever you do keep it low and move the front axle as far ahead as you can take it to allow for stuffage of the tire.

I am doing a sas as well pretty soon. Too bad your not at Edwards AFB we could help each other out! I got a set of 5 inch marlin springs, If I get them in before you decide I will post up pics to help you decide.  But keep in Mind WHite Trashes Ideas will save you a LOT of coin and probably yeild the same, if not better results. Its amazing how many people freak out about springs when they are so easy to take apart and tailor to fot your needs. The ford and mazda springs will be easier to come by, and dirt cheap.
Compare the price of those from a yard to the price I paid for Marlins Kit! I have no idea how to save money properly so I just went for the kit to make life a little easier.

Thanks WT. Right now I am almost thinking of going with the Marlin springs just for the ease of getting it on the road again quick then experiment with other leafs. Still up in the air. How bout the waggys in the front? With the ranger springs I wouldnt get the 5" lift that  :turtle: springs would give me would I? I had a 88 ranger for a while and I wasnt to excited about the articulation on those leafs. Different years better? Thanks

Dont worry about getting your truck up in the air.  It'll just cause you to flop. Low and fat is where its at.  I might have 3" of lift plus 3/4" body lift to clear the trans from hitting the firewall and Im running 38.5's.  You can easily get away with 35's on the same setup.  I almost bought a set of springs a few years ago as well but in the end I got some ambition and built my own and it works way better than anything you can buy.....
